Commons cafeteria, the main dining area, is located in Chapin Hall. The cafeteria serves breakfast, lunch and dinner during the week and brunch and dinner on the weekends.  Holiday hours may differ. Bon Appetit provides unlimited seconds, giving careful attention to nutrition, preparation, and dining environment. A vegetarian option and an additional vegan entree are provided at each meal.

In addition to Commons, Hamilton’s in the Powerhouse, a cafe-style location, serves a selection of pizza, gelato, and other delectable options!

No-cost washers and dryers are provided in the lower level laundry area of most halls and houses. The equipment is monitored and maintained by the service company.

Mail service is located in Pearson’s Hall. Each student is assigned a box and can retrieve small items through their box at any time. Packages and large items may be picked up at the mail center counter between the hours of 10:00am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

To help students acclimate and thrive on campus, each hall is staffed with one or more Resident Assistants (RAs). These upper class student leaders act as peer counselors, promote community, work opening and closing, do wellness checks, and provide engaging academic, cultural, and social programming.

There are currently two full-time professional staff members that live on-campus in the Residence Halls. These Residence Life Coordinators help Resident Assistants and provide additional support, counseling, mediation and care for our students.

Every attempt is made to provide safe, secure buildings. Many of the residence halls are accessed using a key card system that uses the student IDs as ‘keys’. Some houses, however, do not use the ID system; rather, the students are issued exterior door keys.

No matter the system used, all members of the residence community share responsibility for security. All residents can help in this process by:

• keeping room doors locked
• not propping open exterior doors
• not allowing strangers into the buildings, instead asking them to enter using their own ID or key
• reporting suspicious strangers to the Security Office

The College has several rooms designated as student storage areas. These areas are opened by appointment at the beginning and end of each semester and are available to international students, students that live more than a thousand miles away, and students that are going abroad. Clubs and special interest houses have storage as well.
